‘Get to know each other’ meetings, training sessions and practical tasks – the first meeting of the participants in the Caucasus Authors’ Course (CAC) 2016 was held in Kemer (Turkey).
Training on media-related issues was delivered to students as part of the program. Documentary filmmaking, photography, modern media standards and media analysis of the conflict situations, were the issues discussed by students and trainers at the meeting in Kemer.
“We got familiar with many innovations and learnt much, be it taking photos and videos, editing or writing technique. And, most importantly, after the theoretical part we were given some practical assignments that we performed individually or in groups and then discussed with the mentor,” says Giorgi Zedgenidze, the project participant from Tbilisi.
Apart from the assignments, the students also had a chance to introduce themselves, as well as the history and culture of their regions, to others through the specially organized ‘get to know each other’ meetings.
The project took place on September 22-25. Before the second meeting is organized, the students, who returned from Kemer, will undergo online training and perform the assignments in distance mode.
