2 JAMnews articles awarded EU Prize for Journalism 2016
Go Group Media’s www.jam-news.net project named among the winners of the EU Prize for Journalism 2016 contest. Ninia Kakabadze’s blog ‘Side by side with the state patriot extremists’ won in the contest’s best online blog nomination, whereas Gvatsa Doluashvili’s article ‘Non-stop communication’ was awarded the EUMM’s Special Prize for Peace Journalism.
The winners of the EU Prize for Journalism 2016 were named by the EU Delegation to Georgia and the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia on February 14.

Best written story in print or online media –Nino Lomadze, The Indigo;
Best audio or audiovisual story in broadcast or online media – Sophio Vasadze, Radio GIPA;
Best written investigative story in print or online media –Nato Gogelia, Gurianews;
Best investigative audio or audiovisual story in broadcast or online media – Nino Ramisshvili, Giorgi Mgeladze; Studio Monitor;
Best online or print blog, opinion or column – Ninia Kakabadze, JAMnews;
Best documentary photo – Giorgi Londaridze, Samkhretis Karibche (The Southern Gate);
The EUMM Special Prize for Peace Journalism – Gvantsa Doluashvili, JAMnews
Set up in 2012, the EU Prize for Journalism aims to promote professional and ethical journalism. Thee total of 122 applications were considered by jury as part of the EU Prize for Journalism 2016 contest.
