CAC School’s recruiting young journalists!
GO Group Media is pleased to announce the opening of another round for its regional media-school, the Caucasian Authors Course.
The intensive, eight-month-long course is designed for young journalists (under 30 years old) from any and all parts of the South Caucasus who have a certain amount of experience in the field and who want to improve their professional qualifications and receive new practical skills.
The Caucasus Authors Course curriculum covers three taught modules: journalistic investigation; video/multimedia production; photography/photo reporting for online media.
It employs a ‘blended training approach’ combining face-to-face workshops (to be conducted outside of the Caucasus) and online instruction sessions, to allow the trainees to enrich their personal perspectives and improve their professional expertise without having to discontinue their current journalistic practices for long periods of time.
The twelve journalists to be selected as a result of the competition will be expected to come up with three professional projects at the end of the course: an essay-investigation looking into an issue of importance for the society they come from, an innovative short documentary film and a photo/multimedia story.
The language of instruction is Russian. Average knowledge of Russian is enough to participate: students must be able to speak and read Russian.
The course is free and begins in September 2018. Graduates will receive certificates.
Those who wish to participate in the competition must send a letter of motivation, a resume (CV) and two letters of recommendation. All documents should be sent to: [email protected].
Applications are to be submitted by 2 August 2018.
