Abdullah and Nargiz

Abdullah is 23 years old. At such a young age, he has already been through many a hurtful situation. In 2009 he wens to visit his aunt in the Terter district. It was there that he met Nargiz. It was a love at first sight.

Abdullah would visit his aunt on one pretext or another, only to see Nargiz. Once, riding a horse through a pasture, he ended up on what turned out to be a minefield. His horse balked. The poor animal might have felt there was a mine under its feet.

Everything happened in the wink of an eye. The horse stepped on the mine. [the incident] left the young man’s face deformed.
