Games to better mutual understanding | Yerevan, Armenia

2010

“A dialogue between peoples without borders” was the name of the project through which it was possible to create a special experimental channel for dialogue.

A meeting was organized in Armenia which was attended by representatives of various societies aged 20 to 30 years, among them were Georgians and Ossetians, both from South and North Ossetia.

The three-day meeting was loaded with role-playing games. They were organized by Armenian psychologists. Under their leadership, players had to rethink their roles, and sometimes “turn” into the “opposite side”.

The main goal of role-playing games is to demonstrate to the participants that there is always more than one truth during any discussion, and at least the recognition of another truth is necessary to bring the discussion to a conclusion.
